I went to Carmarthen on Saturday to watch a football match (2-2 draw, injury time goals etc..) and had my i-pod on shuffle mode from the moment i left the house - until i got back (apart from the game, I never listen to music whilst watching football). The tracks in listening order were:-

Enjoyed the music, one thing i again noticed - the shuffle mode - how random is it?

I've got somewhere in the region of 5,700 songs on my i-pod and of those i've got 171 XTC songs. On Saturday I played 76 songs totally randomly and 5 songs were by XTC, that's a hell of a higher ratio. I'd expect maybe 1 or 2 but 5? I'm sure the Gremlin inside my machine likes XTC - and The Pogues because they seem to come up all the time. Strange.
